According to Oklahoma State University, Gelbvieh originated in Bavaria, in southern Germany. It is believed to have been developed in the late 18th and early 19th century from self-colored Bernese and Swiss Brown cattle used on the local red or red spotted cattle. Like most European breeds the Gelbvieh was originally selected for meat, milk and work.

At Bill New Gelbvieh, we strive to raise the best cattle around. Our bulls are Balancer and Purebred bulls, ages 13 months to 19 months.  The bulls are moderately framed and have a good disposition.  AI sires: Pure Power, Mr. Krugerrand, and Buddy Boy.  Pasture sires are sons of OZZ EXT Govenor and Mytty In Focus.

Here are some photos of cattle from our current herd. For more information contact Bill New at or 580-334-2332
